What Is Z Hop When Retracted. I set mine to 0.2mm on retract. Web so right now i have travel settings in cura 3.2.1:

I guess it's personal preference, but imo thin strings are. Stringing started to become an issue on a lot of my prints. Web it's mostly used to prevent the nozzle dragging across the surface.
